Heinrich-Böll ecological housing complex

The Heinrich-Böll is a housing estate with apartment buildings from a non-profit housing association, which consistently uses innovative technologies around 1995: photovoltaic panels and wastewater technology. In the buildings, materials from renewable sources and devices for saving water are used. The set adopts rainwater as a landscape design element.

The project contains a didactic concept of the hydrological cycle. The entire course of rainwater on the land is visible, from the precipitation of water on the roofs, in its conduction, its use to design spaces, to its deposit in lakes at the bottom of small valleys.

Duration: on site around an hour and a half.
