Sua principal atração é o Altar de Pergamon (século II a.C.). O friso que representa a batalha entre os Deuses e os Gigantes é considerado uma obra-prima da arte helenística.

A sala ao lado, ao sul, contém a Porta do Mercado de Miletus, um excelente exemplo da arquitetura romana.
De lá os visitantes podem prosseguir para o Museu do Antigo Oriente Próximo. O Salão da arquitetura helenística está em reconstrução.
