Bikinihaus

Bikinihaus is a former industrial, commercial and office building on Budapester Straße in the Charlottenburg district in the center of former West Berlin.

The building is taken over by the historical heritage of Berlin, but it was completely remodeled inside through a bold project, which visually integrates it with the Berlin Zoo. The Bikinihaus is part of a group of buildings that today bears the name Bikini Berlin, but historically the complex was called the Zentrum am Zoo, which included other buildings such as the Huthmacher-Haus or DOB-Haus, the Zoo-Palast, the “Little Skyscraper“ and the parking garage at the zoo. The whole set was built in the 1950s with investments from the Marshall Plan for the reconstruction of Berlin after World War II.
